Marc Stanes was born in England in 1963 and has been a professional photographer for nearly 25 years. He lives and works in South Africa. During this time he has undertaken commissions in many different countries for some of the worlds most prestigious corporate and private clients. Marc Stanes was first commissioned by Evelyn Lauder in 1989 to photograph flowers and this picture hangs in the Lauder Wing of the Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York. In 1994 Marc Stanes was given his first solo photographic exhibition at Jonathan Cooper in London based on his still life photographs. He has since shown regularly in London and the USA and this work is now in international collections. Marc Stanes is the official photographer to the Mandela Rhodes Foundation. Foundations Marc currently serves on the board of the LOOC Foundation, Santa Barbara, USA He is represented by Jonathan Cooper in London and Brian J McCarthy in New York
